Orphanides Supermarkets places great
emphasis on recruitment, since we consider the human factor a major
force in the shaping of the growth and success of our company. Strict
minimum qualifications are prescribed for each job opening depending
on the seniority of such a position. Job applications are thoroughly
screened and only the best qualified applications for the respective
job opening are invited for the interview. During the interview, which
is conducted by a committee of high ranked managers, candidates are
judged on their academic record, prior experience (particularly in
relation to the respective job opening) as well as their character and
personality. Before an employment offer is made to a successful
applicant, additional information is obtained from the applicant's
references, if it is deemed necessary.

our company is the proper and continuous training of our employees.
In-house introductory and on-the-job training programs are currently
being used for every new employee. A clear indication of our company's
commitment is our future plans in the establishment and operation of
our own fully equipped TRAINING CENTER at our Head Office premises
which will form the cornerstone of the company's future training
plans. In accordance with the group philosophy, employees
are acknowledged and treated as individuals. Free flowing, two-way
communication is actively encouraged between management and the shop
