Company's History
Orphanides Public Company Limited was incorporated on 29 November 1986 as a limited private company pursuant to the provisions of the Cyprus Companies Law Cap. 113. The Company was incorporated under the name “Laiki Yperagora Orphanides Limited.” On 9 July 1998, the company was converter into Public Company pursuant to the provisions of the Cyprus Companies Law Cap. 113 and on 30 December 1998 following the issuance of new shares, the shares of the Company started trading on the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
The main business of the company is the operation of malls and supermarkets, including investing in property for the development of the Company’s business and expansion.
The Company operates 29 supermarkets 11 Orphanides Supermarket and 18 Orphanides Express including three Shopping Malls in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos. The Company is the biggest supermarket chain operator in the island with presence in all major districts.
Since its incorporation, the Company aim is to provide the best service to the consumers.
